The selection is good, but prices and service could use improvement. For hunting and fishing products, I like this store better than other chain stores in the area.
Everything you would expect, with more camping-in-an-actual-tent equipment than some locations, including supplies for repairs and maintenance. Knowledgeable staff that actually cares about what you want and need, even if it isn't the most expensive option. The knife selection is very good and includes a variety of high-end steel and practical tools. Archery equipment is almost exclusively compound/crossbow, which is a little disappointing (I'm a primitive archery fan.) I go with my wife on a regular basis and not once has a staff member been rude or tried pulling macho nonsense.
Update- Bow blew apart 2 months after getting it back. Sent back to Cabela's who first harassed me about how I used it then re strung the bow and charged me again stating they do not have a warranty to their blow string. They admitted the string just broke but didn't know why. I was asked if I dry fired the bow 9 times then they just claimed that's what must have happened. Have not used the bow much since, nervous as hell to pull back on it after the string broke and the arms went flying around. Lowered to 2 stars from 5. A bit disappointing experience
Outstanding customer service. Ryan and Jeff are both top notch employees who set the standard for customer service. Came in with very little knowledge about a compound bow I had bought. Wanted to get new cable and string installed. Ryan kept me informed throughout the process. When I came to pick up Jeff spend the time to walk me through all needed items, get some new arrows and make sure I was set and ready. A true class act that has won over a customer for life.
I LOVE this place, I've bought so many fishing lures and fishing type things in general. Its one of the only places I decided to get their card because its so nice. The people are extremely helpful here, nice clean business. HIGHLY recommended!
Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop rock. Bought my first hand gun and they were very patient and helpful to my wife and I. They've earned my business just for the attention answering my questions and getting me to think of some I hadn't considered. Never tried to up sell me from the sale gun I was interested in, in fact complemented me on a excellent first gun purchase. Bingo.
