Last night I had a flat tire driving home from Madison, WI. Meineke made it easy to get in early in the morning and even found the same tires I already had on my car. They did a great job and if I didn't live 2 hours away I would use this shop. Customer Service was great and they help me out big time!
This has been my family's trusted car-care location of choice for several years. They do great work, they know their stuff and make sure you're making the right choice for your vehicle and budget. Best of all they're honest and respectful. Several times they've done the very inexpensive fix when they otherwise could have pulled the wool over my eyes, and a few times they've taken care of something free of charge when they didn't need to. Plus, their reward points system is great and keeps me coming back. Highly recommend.
I expected better service because in the past I've received better service.
Awesome place!!!! Driving from MN, hear a banging noise. Gas station gives me the # to a shop nearby, explained my situation, he said he could get me in tomorrow?? Googled auto shops and Meineke showed up. John answered and said, bring it in and we'll try to help you out! Took them about 5 minutes and explained everything to me, similar to what I thought it was so they weren't trying to get over on me. After 15 minutes and under $30,I was back on the road!! Refreshing great customer service!!
I want to preface this review by saying that I've been doing business with this shop for years, and have always received good service. However, with what happened today, the shop lost me as a customer. Made an appointment to have snow tires (which I already had) installed, as well as an oil change. Confirmed appointment on the phone, and took vacation time from work to have the service done. Got to the shop just in time for Dan (who I believe is the manager) tell me Meinecke will not install tires purchased from other shops. Not only has this shop installed / removed these same tires twice in the past, but it was Dan who helped me the last time. When I asked how long the store had this policy, he said the last few years, and he doesn't remember doing it for me before (even though I will bet it's in the system on the receipt). When I asked why I wasnt told about the policy on the phone when I made the appointment, since this is a long standing policy, Dan simply shrugged his shoulders and said "Sorry, I don't know who you talked to, nothing I can do."
I have no issue with the policy, but with the cavalier, smug attitude of the employee. He couldn't have cared less about the mix up, or the fact that at least one of his employees wasn't aware of all of the policies.
I stopped by unannounced to get a taillight replaced. While pulling the light-cover/lens unit off the back, it fell and cracked. Within minutes, a new one had been ordered, and they made arrangements for me to come back and get it replaced (for free). And then they changed the lights and sent me on my way -- not even charging me because of the inconvenience. It's refreshing and very much appreciated to see such great customer service these days. I was already a regular customer but this time they really went above and beyond. Thank you!
